STAINED GLASS WEDDING INSPIRATION IN ROCABELLA SANTORINI
We have always been fascinated by the cinematic representation of gentlewomen and this ethereal creatures wedding inspiration in Rocabella Santorini, an editorial featuring two stunning brides has been just the thing to make our hearts skip a little faster. Beautifully ensconced on the iconic hotel where even The Rolling Stones have enjoyed their sunset poolside slings, we began our day shooting this art deco inspired set.
Santorini Glam Weddings Julia and Evita breathed life into our jawdropping caldera views coloring them pretty with the most outstanding ceremonial arch made of stained surrounded by tall glass urns overflowing with pampas grass and fresh florals in all hues of marigold and rose by Betty Flowers Santorini. No pews here, but the most elegant 70ies leather seating, and over at the table an all unique line of stationery, menus, and place cards made entirely of glass, a nod to our brides’ juxtaposing qualities, fragility, and firmness, tenacity and gentleness.
Wedding gowns like Crochelle’s are unparalleled in beauty and we found one more reason to love this Greek designer, her ability to translate the female form and delicacy into sublime wedding dresses that ooze sophistication. Poniros – the Greek master of diamonds added to this flawlessly styled shoot with his one-of-a-kind pieces an allusion to the Santorini vine and the Mykonian windmill.
Our gratitude to everyone who waived their magic wands and made this happen for us and great thanks to Sotiris Tsakanikas and his teams!
